Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4, 1954. She is a comedian, actress, and writer. O'Hara has been the recipient of numerous prizes which include a Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also was awarded two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2018, she was made an Officer of Canada. Then, in 2020, she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara's first recognition as an actress while she was a member the The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, she was part the main ensemble of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara was a part of Candy on the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984). The show received critical acclaim both for her writing and acting skills and was honored with an Primetime Emmy Award, 1981, for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. O'Hara was part of the new Second City artistic Advisory Board, which was led by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
